Overview

Luxury. That's what you feel the moment you step out of your vehicle. We were very impressed with the Taj from the moment we arrived. The staff were immediately attentive, helping us with check-in and assisting with our luggage. The level of service stood out, along with the overall cleanliness and presentation of the hotel. Not to mention, the hotel smelled amazing! 

Price

We paid around $80 USD per night and up, depending on the dates and availability. 

Location

The hotel is located in New Town, Kolkata, a modern and rapidly developing area with plenty of nearby attractions. It is very close to Eco Park, which features replicas of the Seven Wonders of the World. You’ll also find attractions such as the replica Big Ben clock tower and other sightseeing spots within a short distance. And perfectly located right next to the Taj is City Centre New Town shopping mall. 

The airport is also very close, about a 10-minute drive or less depending on traffic making it extremely convenient for all travelers. Overall, the location is a great choice for both short stays and longer visits.

Cleanliness

10/10. The hotel, our room, and even the surrounding property were all extremely clean and well-maintained.

Recommendation

We would highly recommend staying at the Taj City Centre due to its reasonable pricing and excellent amenities. The hotel features a restaurant, swimming pool, and gym.

Although we did not have the opportunity to dine at the restaurant, we walked through it and the food looked excellent. The infinity pool offers great views over Kolkata, and the gym is modern, clean, and well-equipped with a wide variety of machines.
