Initial Thoughts Upon Arrival As we approached the temple through the winding streets of Bhubaneswar, the massive structure immediately caught my eye. The intricate stonework and craftsmanship that went into constructing this temple are truly impressive, and it is easy to see why it is considered one of Odisha's most important landmarks. Family-Friendly? Yes, although visitors should be aware that this is one of the busiest religious sites in Odisha. The surrounding area can become quite crowded, especially during festivals and peak visiting hours. Families with young children may find the crowds a bit overwhelming if they are not prepared for the busy atmosphere. Accessible to Most People? We found the areas surrounding the temple to be generally accessible. However, non-Hindu visitors are not permitted to enter the temple itself, which limits how much of the site some travelers can experience.
