Inital Thoughts 

Great place to go with the family to learn and see a lot of Odisha history and culture. This is a low stress environment where you can go at your own pace throughout the museum. W were surprised by the amount of artifacts and artwork that the museum has on display. Inside the area is very peaceful and filled with information about the different people living in Odisha.   

Family Friendly? 

Yes, this is a great place to take the whole family. In fact they even have replica houses of the tribe people who live in Odisha. They have interactive microphones and stories that tell you about the houses and some of their everyday life. This makes learning for kids very fun and interactive! 

Money / Costs - 

Going to the museum is very affordable, as we were able to get in for a price of 50 INR per person. Which is a great deal considering the amount of work and effort that has went into creating the museum. 

Foreigner Friendly? 

Yes, this is a great place for foreigners to explore. It is a very peaceful experience and you will learn a lot about Odisha's history as well as the people who have lived there for a long time. 

Travel Tips 

Make sure you take your time and explore the whole Museum. You can go into the little side doors as sometimes they are closed but you can open them and check out all the cool artifacts in the museum! Also there is a pretty decent sized parking lot so feel free to drive your car there if you have one available as parking is not an issue. Also there is a great little gift shop inside the compound where you can buy some great local artwork from all around Odisha. It is a must if you want to buy some cool local artwork.
